- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Professional Engineer license a plus.

- 5+ years of experience in Power System Studies with a focus on arc flash studies.
|
- Must have a high degree of initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision and a high level of confidentiality.
|
- Experience using electrical system modeling software (ETAP preferred).
|
- Ability to understand electrical single lines, three-lines, and schematics.
|
- Ability to understand manufacturer design/testing information to model generators, transformers, PV modules, and batteries in ETAP.
|
- Ability to connect to a variety of microprocessor-based relays and interpret the settings to incorporate into the ETAP model.
|
- Ability to interpret Time Current Characteristic (TCC) curves and/or create curves from manufacturers data.
|
|
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, and IEEE 1584: Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations.
|
- Must be able to manage multiple projects.
|
- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
|
- Must have the ability to read, write and speak English at a level that will permit the employee to understand and communicate information in a manner that will enable the employee to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.

- Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT's auto insurance carrier.
