Salary Range: $28.46 - $42.70

As an Expeditor you will be responsible for optimizing the procurement of materials and services which is required to maintain a high level of delivery capability and delivery reliability with cost-effective manufacturing, short throughput times and a low capital tie-in.
Essential Functions
• Act as the company first representative during normal and upset conditions. • Identify and mitigate emergency situations including environmental, health and safety and alert and dispatch plant management and other responders such as fire department and law enforcement.
• Assures optimal operation of the plant to maximize generation and revenues and prevent damages to equipment.
• Assures all reporting, scheduling and coordination with the utilities and other entities are done accurately and timely.
• Strictly adhere to and enforce operating and safety procedures.
• Compliance with and consistent implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
• Involved in Human Resource matters including hiring, promotion, disciplinary action and termination of personnel in coordination with plant supervisory team and corporate management and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for safely clearing and tagging for maintenance work according to procedures.
• Responsible for supervising personnel during assigned shift.
• Ensure training and qualification requirements are being met and provide training guidance when needed.
• Responsible for daily work tasks as needed, including shift coverage.
• Responsible for submitting work order requests.
• Responsible for accurate and timely operating reports and information as required.
• Initiates and participates in preparing recommendations for equipment and system enhancements.
• Responsible for call-out and direction of Operations & Maintenance personnel necessary to support plant recovery.
• Daily prioritization and planning of shift items.
• Prepare complete and accurate log turnover to relieving Shift Supervisor.
• Responsible for control of non-employee personnel on site and plant safety and security.
• Be able to function and lead others under pressure and stressful conditions.
• Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner.
Other Responsibilities
• Other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
• The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment.
• The ability to perform the OP1, OP2 and OP3 tasks with no supervision. • Must have completed or be able to complete within the time frame required by management the OP1, OP2 and OP3 qualifications.
• Prior experience and demonstrated aptitude for operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to read and follow written procedures and interpret process and electrical drawings.
• Must be able to communicate with other employees and read and write at a level that will enable to perform the work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and visually in a clear and effective manner including in noisy and low illumination environments.
• Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet.
• Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT’s auto insurance carrier.
Physical Requirements
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to stay alert while sitting down for long periods of time. • Must be able to climb ladders, climb to and work off of elevated platforms, ladders and walkways and work in confined spaces and extreme temperatures including use of special personal protection equipment and breathing apparatus.
• Job requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• The ability to tolerate extreme temperatures.
