Mammoth Geothermal Complex

Powering Inyo and Mono Counties since 1984 -       GEOTHERMAL ENERGY AS GREEN AS THE FAIRWAYS

The Mammoth Geothermal Complex, owned and operated by Mammoth Pacific Geothermal, is located just outside of the town of Mammoth Lakes, California. The complex is currently comprised of 3 geothermal facilities, generating 30 MW of power.

With the addition of the Casa Diablo IV plant, scheduled to come online at the beginning of 2022, the total generation for the complex will be 60 MW – enough to power 45,000 homes.

We apply the world’s most advanced technologies to harness the power contained in the geothermal fluids that flow in the molten interior of the earth’s crust. We convert earth-bound energy from heat to electrical energy, while preserving the integrity and prolonging the lifecycles of the geothermal reservoirs we drill. Geothermal energy provides base load electricity 24/7.

It’s highly reliable, flexible, produces no NOx emissions and virtually no CO2 emissions. The low visual and noise impacts from the Mammoth Complex green power plants are a model for sustainable renewable energy development.
