This position is responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing low and high voltage electrical equipment.

This position is responsible for general operations, electrical and maintenance support in order to maintain high plant availability including condition monitoring and optimization, development and implementation of best practices for predictive and preventative maintenance, development of maintenance management system, develop and maintain critical spares program, remote monitoring and optimization of asset health. This position will be based at one of several OREG plant locations which will be supported.

The primary responsibility of a Plant Operator is to ensure that the operation of the power plant is safely and efficiently carried out in accordance with Plant Safety Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures. Additional duties include; monitoring plant systems and equipment on a continuous basis, and responding to alarms and out of specification parameters by taking appropriate corrective action.

Provide technical assistance to computer systems users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, Office Suite, email, and operating systems.

This position is responsible for assisting in purchasing, maintaining inventory control, shipping, receiving and labeling of materials in accordance with applicable permits, laws, rules and regulations.

The Control System Supervisor provides supervision and direction for the Control System Specialists and provides hands-on support for commissioning maintenance and troubleshooting of the control, instrumentation, and electrical systems at ORMAT facilities. The Control System Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing a work plan to continuously improve the department’s capabilities to best support the need of the Electricity Segment power plants with instrumentation, control and network systems. This position also identifies training, cross-training, and personnel development needs for the Control System Specialists.
